The Newport Harbor High School Class of '62 Reunion Committee has reserved the Newport Beach Yacht Club for the class' 45th Reunion. The date – Aug. 25, 2007, beginning at 6 p.m. Reservations are $85 per person. Post card notices were sent in mid-March to all class members for whom the committee had physical addresses.

The yacht club address is 1099 Bayside Drive in Newport Beach, at the Balboa Island bridge. Dress for the occasion is branded as "Newport casual – no tie."

FRIDAY, Aug. 24 – American Legion Yacht Club, 215 E. 15th Street, Newport Beach, CA 92663 (corner 15th St. x W. Bay), 6 pm until??

No-host, Come-As-You Are, get-together under the canopy in the patio:

  • FREE admission to all classmates, but please sign the Guest Register!
  • FREE hors d’oeuvre, compliments of your Reunion Committee
  • An extensive Dinner Menu is available
  • FREE parking at Christ Church By The Sea, 1400 W. Balboa Blvd, Balboa, CA 92661 (corner 14th St. x Balboa Blvd.), compliments of your Reunion Committee (mention “Harbor High Reunion”)
  • ALYC is famous for CHEAP booze

SATURDAY, Aug. 25 – Newport Beach Yacht Club, 1099 Bayside Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 (corner Bayside Dr. x Marine Ave.) 6 pm until 11 pm

  • 45th Reunion Dinner/Dance featuring LIVE music by Greg Topper (formerly played with the Righteous Brothers) – 50s and 60s Rock & Roll.
  • Valet PARKING is available in the yacht club parking lot; or self-park across Bayside Dr. at the shopping center or across Marine Ave. at the plastic surgeon’s office (no comment).
  • Contact Bob Fagaly to volunteer in setting up the Reunion Dinner/Dance.  The work party starts at 4pm.

SUNDAY, Aug. 26 – Newport Beach Yacht Club dock, 1099 Bayside Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 (corner Bayside Dr. x Marine Ave.) 12 noon until??

  • FREE Duffy electric boat tour of our Newport Harbor
  • FREE lunch, compliments of your Reunion Committee

If the demand is there for Classmates squeezed for time, one boat will be cruising around Balboa Island, picking up and dropping off at the Island’s five public docks.

We need a HEADCOUNT to see how many boats and lunches are needed. RSVP to Celso.

Checks for the party should be sent to the Reunion Committee at PO Box 5140, Balboa Island, CA 93662.

The committee asks that classmates send with their checks a current e-mail address. However, they have made a plea to those that have no e-mail address that they share a mailing address, telephone and/or other contact information. You can also provide contact information by either using the class Web site contact form or by registering in the Ship's Log.
